There is new research by consumer data aggregator CivicScience. There has found that more and more investors are selling their shares to buy more crypto.
This questionnaire were sent to people over the age of 18 in the US at different times during 2021. The results were weighted against US census data. Each question has between 1000 and 40,600 respondents.
There’s a Big Leap of Investors to Crypto instead of Stocks
As much 3,700 respondents surveyed. The number who said they would be more likely to invest their money in cryptocurrencies than traditional stocks increased 140% in just five months.
Back in June, only 10% of respondents said they would be more likely to invest their money in cryptocurrencies than traditional stocks, which rose to 24% in November.
It is of interest to those who say they follow financial and economic markets “very closely” or “somewhat closely” are more likely to trade their traditional assets for cryptocurrencies.
Of the 1,285 respondents who said they follow the market “very closely,” 40% said they or someone they know has sold their traditional stock to buy crypto.

This percentage drops to 30% for those who follow the market “somewhat closely”. The result also found around 17% for those who say they follow the market “not at all.”
About 44% of the 1,988 respondents who have sold shares for crypto say they have sold less than 10% of their portfolio.
But about a fifth have sold more than half of their stock assets to buy crypto. CivicScience’s Zack Butovich describes as “a very significant amount.” It might push it, but it’s definitely important.
According to its website, CivicScience retrieves its data through digital and mobile content partnerships.
