In MPL ID Season 1, a tight match was present and eliminating only eight teams that entered the playoffs. Yes, as usual, there are Regulars and Playoffs. There was a surprise that the winner of MPL ID Season 1 was won by Team Nxl.
Team Nxl became a dark horse team which at the beginning of the playoffs experienced many defeats to enter the Low Bracket. Unexpectedly Nxl was able to overtake teams that had good performance, namely EVOS Legends and RRQ 02.
Champion of MPL Indonesia Season 2: RRQ O2
Next, the MPL ID Season event was held at the end of 2018, in which several new teams and teams that have played in the first MPL ID Season also participated in this MPL Season 2.
The match format is still the same as the Qualification system which presents three group phases. Now the winners of the three group phases are included in the MPL ID Season 2 match. The team includes SFI Esports, RRQ O2, EVOS Esports, Aerowolf Roxy, Louvre Esports, Capricorn, Bigetron, ONIC Esports, Boom Jr, and Saints Indo.
The match happened the same as in the previous season, where eight teams entered the playoffs and ONIC Esports managed to top the standings in the regular season round.
This is where El Clasico is getting hotter because the two candidates for the best Indonesian team have their best performance in this second season. In which RRQ O2 and EVOS Esports enter the Grand Final and compete fiercely.
Unfortunately ONIC Esports only excels in the regular season round, while the Grand Final is filled with El Clasico between RRQ O2 and EVOS Esports with the results of RRQ O2 winning the MPL ID Season 2.
Champion of MPL Indonesia Season 3: ONIC Esports
ONIC Esports is actually a formidable team from the first time this team was created, but with Udil’s entry as one of ONIC Esports’ rosters. This team has succeeded in becoming the team that is most feared in the world.
What’s interesting is that in MPL ID Season 3, a very chaotic and barbaric thing happened, during the match there was a psywar with hot comments. The Pro Players are also getting Toxic like you are playing like in Rank Epic.
MPL ID Season 3 is one of the matches with the most teams at the moment. The match is filled with 12 teams, including Alter Ego, SFI Critical, The Prime, Star8 Esports, Bigetron Esports, Aura Esports, Aerowolf Roxy, ONIC Esports, Louvre Esports, Saints Indo, EVOS Esports, and RRQ O2.
You see several new teams such as Aura Esports and ALter Ego that still exist until this year, as well as MPL ID Season 3 is a game to disband several big Esports teams such as Louvre Esports, Saints Indo, The Prime and SFI Critical.

The MPL ID Season 4 tournament was held on 23 August – 27 October 2019, many teams have failed and cannot participate in the MPL ID Season 6 tournament due to certain problems.
There were eight teams that finally entered into the MPL ID with the franchise system, including Alter Ego, Aura Esports, Bigetron Esports, Genflix Aerowolf, Geek Fam ID, ONIC Esports, EVOS Esports and RRQ Hoshi.
In this tournament, EVOS Legends is one of the crazy teams, because Donkey and his friends managed to become champions in MPL ID Season 4 as well as become world champions in the M1 tournament.
The winner in this tournament is remembered for making EVOS Esports one of the best teams in Indonesia, and the El Clasico match shines even more thanks to the excitement between RRQ and EVOS Esports matches in this second season.
MPL Indonesia Season 5 Champion: RRQ Hoshi
The popularity of MPL Indonesia matches is getting higher and MPL ID Season 5 is held on February 7 – April 13 2020. However, it is quite unfortunate, after four seasons airing in the fifth season it must be held offline due to the worsening problem of the Corona virus pandemic.
The MPL ID Season 5 tournament is still filled by the same team including Alter Ego, Aura Esports, Bigetron Esports, Genflix Aerowolf, Geek Fam ID, ONIC Esports, EVOS Esports and RRQ Hoshi.
What’s interesting is that in MPL ID Season 5, the RRQ Hoshi team managed to become the team that won two times in the history of MPL Indonesia, besides that, they also won the title at MPLI which was the tournament after the MPL ID Season 5 ended.
MPL Indonesia Season 6 Champion: RRQ Hoshi
On August 14 – October 4 2020, we must have watched the MPL ID Season 6 match, which is safe, the tournament is still being held online, and of course MPL ID Season 6 has made history with the largest audience today.
Just like before because it still uses the franchise system and does not add more participant slots, the MPL ID Season 6 tournament still has 8 participating teams, which include Alter Ego, Aura Esports, Bigetron Esports, Genflix Aerowolf, Geek Fam ID, ONIC Esports, EVOS Esports and RRQ Hoshi.
RRQ Hoshi was again the best record-breaker with three victories in the Indonesian MPL tournament, in which the victory made RRQ the defending champion with successive victories from two MPL seasons.
With the victory in MPL ID Season 6, RRQ Hoshi is the team with the most winning record in MPL tournaments at this time. So, will RRQ Hoshi’s victory continue in the next season?
Champion of MPL Indonesia Season 7: EVOS Legends
Next up is EVOS Legends who won MPL ID season 7. EVOS, which had “disappeared” last season due to their poor performance, immediately bounces back in the following season.
Nothing is different from the participants in this seventh season. But what really felt the most was the roster of all the teams where almost all of them made changes. Even raising a few easy seeds is a good thing.
EVOS ‘journey is not easy this season because they have to have a roster problem. The EVOS roster is relatively new and some of their players cannot train due to Covid issues. Of course this affects performance.
Not only that, Wann, one of the seniors at EVOS, must take a break while the season is still running. This forced EVOS to take on their MDL player, but proved strong against Ferxiic.
Gradually climbing the MPL standings in the seventh season, EVOS finally landed in second place. The position of the upper bracket is quite dramatic because the last match to fight for this position, EVOS had to fight RRQ.
EVOS Legends
The playoffs were also quite fierce for EVOS. Even though they started from the upper bracket, Bigetron had to be forced down to the lower bracket. But after winning against Aerowolf they returned to the grand final against Bigetron for a rematch.
But like a different team and maybe Bigetron’s movements have already been studied, EVOS won to be the champion this season. However this victory is not easy considering that Bigetron and EVOS continued to exchange points until they finally finished at 4-2 for EVOS.
