Several factors influence how this META can be popular and can continue. But what stands out the most is how the performance of some marksman in ML is beyond limits.

Marksman Meta Annoying?
Currently, some marksman in Mobile Legends is considered too strong and very difficult to fight. Even when nerfed, some of them are still very strong and hard to beat consistently.
Currently, there are 3 popular marksman, namely Beatrix, Natan, and Clint. The funny thing is that the marksman trifecta is like rock-paper-scissors where the three of them counter each other.
Beatrix who has bursts and various tools is countered by Clint who can keep his distance and is the king of poke. Meanwhile, Clint himself in a 1v1 damage fight could lose to Natan, who has high reach, burst, and consistency. On the other hand, sometimes Nathan is easily defeated by Beatrix. So META marksman is really troubling in Mobile Legends right now if it’s not ready.
For other marksman, it’s still 50/50. Heroes like Wanwan, Claude, Moskov, and Kimmy have their own advantages and depending on the lineup, they are strong. But not as strong as this trio.
Need a Big Change?
With META, which is currently very boring, maybe it needs a change. Whether it’s from patches to improve the performance of other heroes or the existence of other items to reduce the strength of the marksman.
Currently there are several items to counter marksman for non-marksman. Items like Dominance Ice and Blade Armor for example. But these two items are still not strong enough and specifically against marksman needs improvement.
At the moment META marksman is troubling in Mobile Legends, hopefully in the future there will be a patch that can help. It’s a shame for some players who want to play other heroes without getting caught up in META.
Even though in fact some hero mages in the gold lane can still fight these marksman. For example Pharsa, Alice, and Lunox who have a strong track record against them. Keep practicing, play wisely and don’t become a toxic player!
