But in February, it seems that Garena finally realizes that this weapon really breaks the weapon meta in Free Fire. Which is why, they finally decide to nerf this weapon in the game. Taken from the Garena Free Fire patch note, you can see that there will be a nerf on the vector. This SMG is causing more harm than good since its release in Free Fire.
With a really high rate of fire, the vector automatically has a high DPS as well. The akimbo mode makes it breaks the weapon meta even more. This akimbo mode will double the damage that the vector has.
Which is why, it seems obvious to see that Garena finally steps in to nerf this weapon in the game. But the nerf is not that huge. It’s actually quite moderate. So it is still possible that the vector might still be a powerful weapon for you to use.
Vector nerf in Free Fire:
- Minimum damage -1
- Akimbo range -4
From this nerf, you can see that Garena decreases the akimbo range and the damage output from the vector. However, by getting to know this, you can still identify the strength of the vector in Free Fire.
The high damage in optimal range can still be dangerous for the enemy to face. Even though you have to move closer towards your enemy, the vector should still be capable to kill your enemy fast. If it’s still too powerful, they might nerf this weapon again in the next upcoming patch.
