Free Fire (FF) OB29 Patch Note, the August Update is Here!
New character from the collaboration, Dimitri
Back then, there’s a collaboration event between Free Fire and Dimitri Vegas. And right now, there’s finally a new character that resembles Dimitri Vegas himself.
His character skill is also quite powerful for you to use. Because his skill will make you capable of increasing the healing and revive effect around your character.
- Level 1: Creates a healing area 3,5 meters around your character. It will increase 3 HP per second. The cooldown is 85 seconds, and the skill effect will last 10 seconds.
- Level 2: Creates a healing area 3,5 meters around your character. It will increase 3 HP per second. The cooldown is 80 seconds, and the skill effect will last 11 seconds.
- Level 3: Creates a healing area 5 meters around your character. It will increase 3 HP per second. The cooldown is 75 seconds, and the skill effect will last 12 seconds.
- Level 4: Creates a healing area 5 meters around your character. It will increase 3 HP per second. The cooldown is 70 seconds, and the skill effect will last 13 seconds.
- Level 5: Creates a healing area 5 meters around your character. It will increase 3 HP per second. The cooldown is 65 seconds, and the skill effect will last 14 seconds.
- Level 6: Creates a healing area 5 meters around your character. It will increase 3 HP per second. The cooldown is 60 seconds, and the skill effect will last 15 seconds.
Thiva as another new character
Another new character that is appearing in the game is Thiva. He has a really powerful healing skill that can help your teammate better than Olivia. Because after he revives faster, he will automatically heals himself as well.
Here’s the skill level of this character:
- Level 1: Revive speed increases 5% faster. After that, he will automatically heal himself with 15 HP in 5 seconds.
- Level 2: Revive speed increases 8% faster. After that, he will automatically heal himself with 20 HP in 5 seconds.
- Level 3: Revive speed increases 11% faster. After that, he will automatically heal himself with 25 HP in 5 seconds.
- Level 4: Revive speed increases 14% faster. After that, he will automatically heal himself with 30 HP in 5 seconds.
- Level 5: Revive speed increases 17% faster. After that, he will automatically heal himself with 35 HP in 5 seconds.
- Level 6: Revive speed increases 20% faster. After that, he will automatically heal himself with 40 HP in 5 seconds.
Awakening Moco in the Free Fire patch note
There’s also a new awakening version of Moco to be released in the game right now. Her awakening skill is actually not that different from her previous skill. However, she will increase her maximum skill duration up to 6.5 seconds.
The new AC80 DMR
In the OB29 patch update, there is a new weapon that you can try to use later on. This new weapon is the AC80. This is a Designated Marksman Rifle that is suitable for you to use to hit longer range target.
Lone Wolf game mode
With game mode, there’s a new game mode that players can enjoy right now. This new mode is the new lone wolf game mode. This is one of the new game mode that will make you battle your enemy in a 1v1 battle. So this mode will prove your natural skill in the five round duel.
Anniversary event and collaboration with Dimitri Vegas
In the new update, there will be a 4th year anniversary event of the game. And along with the collaboration with Dimitri Vegas, this season is going to be a huge season for the players.
New Grenade Range in Free Fire patch note
In the Training Ground, you will be able to check out a new feature called the Grenade Range. This is one of the feature that will give you a platform to practice your grenade throwing in the game. With unlimited amount of grenades, you should be able to practice hard in this place.
The latest XM8 evolution gun
There’s finally an evolution version of the XM8 coming up. This can be one of the most special skin that is available for you to obtain in the OB29 update patch.
New rank reset in CS Mode Season 8
The OB29 update will also reset the rank in Clash Squad mode season 8 right now. So be ready to push your rank with your teammate again in order to reach the top of the leaderboard!
New weapon attachment
If we’re talking about weaponry, then there is a new attachment that you can try to use on certain kinds of weapons in the game. Here’s the list of the new attachment that you can find:
- Shotgun muzzle
- M4A1 chip
- SMG booster
- AR magazine
New pet, master Tig
There’s a new pet that you can try to obtain right now, which is master Tig. This is one of the new pet that will reduce the enemy’s scouting skill. So if you’re playing in a match with this pet alongside you, you should be able to hide safer.
Now you can give your weapon in Clash Squad mode
In Clash Squad mode, you can now give your weapon to your friend in need. This can be useful if your teammate doesn’t have enough gold to spend on purchasing weapons. You can also press the request message in order to ask your friends for a weapon.
You can use your bag in the lobby and Clash Squad mode
Back then, there are many players that is requesting the developer a feature where they can use their bag in the lobby and Clash Squad mode. And in this OB29 update, the request finally come true.
Buff and Nerf Character Balancing
This is a necessary thing to do in every update, in order to keep the game competitive and balanced. So here’s some of the character balancing in the OB29 update that is coming up right now:
- Jota
He can now use his self healing skill while using any kinds of weapon in the game. So you no longer have to use an SMG or a shotgun only.
- Alvaro
The next one is Alvaro. Right now, there’s a huge buff on this character that will greatly increase the damage of any explosive item that he uses. So the damage effect will increase from 20%.
- Shani
Then the next one is Shani. She also gets a buff on her skill that makes her capable of fixing her armor even better now. So after she kills an enemy, she will be able to increase her vest durability for up to 30% in level 1, and 65% in the maximum level which is level 6.
- Luqueta
After a long wait, there’s finally a buff on this character, where he is now capable of increasing his max HP for up to 250 HP.
Buff and nerf weapon balancing
Not only the character, there’s also some buff and nerf that is supposed to balance the weaponry in the game. And here’s the list of the buff and nerf on the weaponry that players will use this season.

Decoy grenade is back in the game
After Garena removes this item for a long time, the decoy grenade finally comes back in all Free Fire game mode. Using this item can be useful for you to distract your enemy’s attention by using this decoy item. You can easily find the decoy grenade around the map, or you can also try to purchase it in Clash Squad mode.
Airdrop item adjustment in Free Fire patch note
There’s been a lot of complaint in the previous season regarding the airdrop content in the game. Some say that they don’t seem to find any powerful or rare weapon in the airdrop.
This can be a bad news for the players, because they will eventually lose interest of the airdrop in the game. Which is why, in the new update patch, there will be an airdrop item adjustment that you can try to use.
Craftland mode is now available to play
It is different from the Craftland mode in the previous version, right now the full version of the Craftland mode is available for all players to try. You don’t need to use any ticket in order to enter the room.
Because this room is free for everyone to use in the game. So make sure that you try to check out this new feature where you can create your own map to battle with your friends!
New lobby and spawn island interface
There will be a new lobby and spawn island interface that looks really cool. There’s also a slight change in the menu options and the menu position itself. Right now, the lobby will be looking like a huge room that you can check out in the new lobby.
On the other hand, there’s also a huge change in the spawn island interface. If you take a look, the spawn island is going to be looking like a music concert area, along with the DJ set on the stage, with 4 DJ character in the spawn island stage.
